This week we are thrilled to have serial entrepreneur, investor, restaurateur, and dear friend Gavin Dickson joining us. In this episode we are all getting a front row seat to the genius or perhaps lunacy behind the man opening THREE restaurants during a pandemic. Gavin shares what it takes to be successful amidst an economic crisis and global pandemic, his experience raising daughters as a single father, and tips on coping with failure without fear. For Gavin the road to success was not an easy one. It was built upon years of hustle, determination, and giant leaps of faith. Today we are getting a peek behind the mask of success and learning what it truly takes to get there without losing yourself in the process.
Gavin Dickson, Founder and Managing Partner of Salt Coast Ventures, is an entrepreneur, investor, and relationship builder. Born and raised in Utah, he has built a reputation not only within the state, but around the globe. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Gavin started his career in real estate at the age of 17 and by the time he turned 22 he had established a portfolio of properties across the U.S. valued at over $20 million. Gavin has developed a network which allowed him to begin investing in private companies and in 2017 he helped launch his own investment firm through which he has funded over $50 million into start-up companies. Economics aside, Gavin has always sought ways to give back to his community and use his position in business to act as a platform, enabling him to engage with and bless the lives of others. Gavin’s ability to connect, his generosity in relationships, and his strategic creativity are large contributors to his success thus far and will continue to play a role in his overall impact on the world. Gavin remains a Utah local and prides himself in being a father of two bright and beautiful girls, Kelsey and Kennedy.
